Embarking on a journey marked by thorough research and continuous dialogue with founders and our incredible team, this case study unfolds the story of creating a solution application tailored to the distinctive needs of both economically challenged communities and transportation professionals. With a focus on collaboration, sustained engagement, and an unyielding commitment to innovation, we explored strategies that not only address challenges but genuinely enhance the lives of these specific populations.

In a dynamic corporate environment, Vidyut Tech, a leader in the electric vehicle industry, faced the challenge of making EVs more accessible. They offered a proactive solution by introducing innovative financing solutions, significantly reducing the initial cost of electric vehicles.

Their technology-driven platform provides customers with a comprehensive end-to-end solution, encompassing the purchase, financing, and resale of electric vehicles, all aimed at making the EV experience effortless and hassle-free. This approach effectively addressed consumer concerns about hefty down payments, leading to increased customer satisfaction and bolstering Vidyut Tech's reputation in the sustainable mobility market.

The main challenge for Vidyut Tech was to create a DCO (Driver-Centric Operations) app in a market where no such application existed for drivers to monitor their electric vehicle's, distance travelled, EMI, loan details, and manage recharging. The aim was to develop an app that solved these issues while being accessible to users who may not be proficient in English. The project focused on crafting a user-friendly, multilingual app to enhance the EV management experience for a diverse user base.

For Vidyut Tech's DCO app, our design process was iterative and meticulous, spanning approximately four months. During this time, we carefully integrated features sequentially, allowing for a thoughtful development of the app's functionality. Extensive discussions were held for each feature, focusing on how they would serve the end users effectively.

Feedback played a crucial role in our design methodology. We engaged in multiple rounds of feedback, considering the perspectives and needs of the end users. This collaborative and responsive approach was essential in refining and optimizing each aspect of the app. Post-development, the app underwent a rigorous design review. This phase was crucial to ensure that the app not only functioned seamlessly but also delivered an intuitive and user-friendly experience. Our commitment to quality and attention to detail during this review phase was integral in crafting an app that was both technologically advanced and deeply attuned to the needs of its users.

In summary, the journey of designing the DCO app was a balanced blend of strategic planning, user-centric design, and continuous refinement, all aimed at delivering a product that truly resonates with and serves the needs of Vidyut Tech's customers.

The design of Vidyut Tech's DCO app signified a pivotal shift towards individual users, focusing on ease of access and linguistic inclusivity. Key functionalities included straightforward access to vehicle metrics like daily and monthly kilometers remaining, and a seamless vehicle recharge feature. Additionally, the app offered multi-lingual support, catering to drivers with varying language proficiencies. This strategic design approach aimed to build trust, enhance user experience, and retain a diverse B2C clientele, aligning with Vidyut Tech's commitment to accessibility and user-centric innovation.

The EV market in India is dominated by two-wheelers, which account for 85%–90% of all EV sales, followed by four-wheelers and three-wheelers
